Platform Support
v Performs production support services for business intelligence, reporting and query tools in the production and test environments.
Ø Resolves production issues and takes appropriate actions to ensure a maintainable and available environment.
Ø Performs various maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance, security and recoverability with minimal downtime
Ø Works with other Infrastructure teams to ensure that the associated hardware resources are adequately allocated
Ø Applies upgrades and patches of software
Deployment
v Performs coordination efforts to deploy Business Intelligence tool artifacts.
Ø Works with Change Management, as needed, to deploy universes, cubes, dashboards and reports in the production and test environments.
Ø Schedules production reports
End-user Support
v Performs business process and/or technical support activities related to business intelligence tools.
Ø Provides front-line (“Tier 2”) support for problem resolution related to report execution, delivery and creation
Ø Insures appropriate access to reporting data; validating approvals and submitting security requests, as needed
Ø Coordinates between the end-users and DBAs regarding Data Warehouse load issues; performs problem research, solution validation and end-user communication
Ø Assists end-users with report formatting and problems with underlying queries
Ø Provides BI Tool training for end-users; assist users with application and report optimization
Administration
v Participates in various administrative tasks in support of the BI environment
Ø Provides input into documented policies, procedures and standards related to installation, configuration and maintenance of BI tools and their environments.
Ø Works with application, database and data modeling resources during the pre-implementation, implementation and post-implementation phases
Ø Understands BI project specifications. Participates in project reviews to provide input on the maintainability, supportability and conformance to FNNI IT standards of proposed solutions.

The focus of this 3 month role would be for Business Objects support. We are moving to a Microsoft stack and need augmentation for the current technologies of Business Objects, DB2, SAS, and Crystal Reports during the transition. Must be strong in Business Objects.
