Jp Opposed By Samaikyandhra Activists....postpones Yatra....

The Lok Satta Party President Dr N Jayaprakash Narayan has been forced to defer his "Telugu Tejam" yatra after he was booed and jeered by the Samaikyandhra protesters in Anantapur district on Sunday.

During his speech at a private function hall in the district, JP was repeatedly obstructed by the protesters who demanded a clear stand from him on the state’s division.

They repeatedly shouted slogans in support of united AP cause.

When the activists demanded that he raise the slogans in favour of Samaikyandhra, JP turned down their request, stating that Lok Satta Party would not shift its stance region-wise.

Irked by this, they raised slogans against JP and the situation forced the police to resort to a mild lathi charge to disperse the protesters.
JP had faced a similar situation during his tour in Kurnool district on Saturday.

The anti-bifurcation activists had asked him to raise Samaikyandhra slogan. The police escorted JP away from the protesters as they surrounded the car in which JP was traveling.
