If he can bring in labour reforms, police reforms, and rationalize environmental clearances., he will have done his job. Rest of stuff revolves around taking care of health care, education for the poorest in India.

But can he bring in labour reforms? India can't become a manufacturing hub without a labour reform. Only thieves and politically backed industrialists are making a killing in the manufacturing sector.

well.. he can bring in labor reforms if he wants to.. but even BJP is backed by industrialists a lot... don't know if he decides to go against them.

The people against labour reforms are not industrialists, but labour unions. Industrialists (not pseudo political industrialists) will welcome labour reforms that make sense, like ease of hiring and firing of labour, compensation in case of dangerous work conditions, etc.

Labour unions are dominated by political parties, and BJP is in the mix too. That's why the person who initiates a labour reform will be the one who'll help India make the step from a poor to a middle income country. Can Modi do it? I don't think so.

At the moment, I'll support Modi (though I am not an Indian citizen and don't have a vote), just to get Sonia Gandhi out of power and stop her anti hindu policies. Whether Modi can change Indian fortunes around economically is questionable.

If modi really wants to implement the RSS ideology, then he may definitely do what will help the labor class

ONly hope on MODI is to set right the things that were dismantled in the past mainly 5 Yrs

and hand over again to Cong so that they again dismantle and some else assemble it
