Please share your thoughts for SQL Server Dev position Interviews,regarding what are the frequent questions,tips and tricks

I am sharing some

1. What is the difference between a clustered and a non-clustered index?
2. What is the difference between truncate and delete?
3. What does the SQL Server Agent Windows service do?
4. What are DBCC commands?
5. What is the difference between a HAVING CLAUSE and a WHERE CLAUSE?

OPtimization techniquies,, sql profiler n query execution plan gurunchi cheppali.. sql profiler lo no of reads ekkuva unte performance baledu ani meaning...no of reads should be less ,, no fn's in where clause, use proper joins ,, if using temp tables have indexes on them.. real tables ki elagu undali..
CTE, recursive cte,, wat new functions did you use like hiereachy , merge insert...
Transacrtions advantages..

And also cursors can be avoided by using CTEs too if i am not wrong...

Cross join is never a good option when u work in real time..
Cursors alternative is while loop.. based on requirement we can avoid both sometimes..
Most of the times while loop is better..

There is CROSS APPLY which is efficient in some cases.. this kind of requirements doesnt come so often.
