By rubbishing all controversies, Lakshmi Manchu clarifies that it was her father, Mohan Babu, who insisted on them to attend 100 years celebrations of Indian cinema at Chennai. What everyone is talking about the presence of Lakshmi Manchu and her brother Manoj at the Indian Cinema Centenary Celebrations in Chennai, even as their father proposed, in a letter written to the AP Film Chamber of Commerce, for postponement of the event.[/size][/font][/color][color=#444444][font=Arial,][size=4]
Lakshmi further clarified that “My father forced us to go to the event because he didn’t want Telugu cinema to be let down. To respect my father’s wishes, Manoj and I went as a team. Dad even gave me the money to buy my outfits!”[/size][/font][/color][color=#444444][font=Arial,][size=4]
Talking about the plans that were made before the industry put up a no-show, Lakshmi said, “My brother, Vishnu, is the vicepresident of the Movie Artistes Association (MAA) of Telugu cinema. Initially, they asked us to co-ordinate with all the artistes,which we did; right from Charan and Bunny to Anushka and Tamannaah — they agreed to perform too. But after the decision, all our efforts went in vain.” Had our plan worked out, there would have been a 2 hour performance where every single Tollywood actor would have been up on the stage. It was only because of my dad, we put in so much efforts to attend the event as team players and represent Telugu cinema.”[/size][/font][/color]
