Oracle fusion anedi chaala broad term...

Its a set of Middleware and enterprise applications...

so if you consider

1)Oracle Fusion as a Middle ware (SOA).. aa application installation, maintenance,Integration with third party systems..is what an administrator do...

and Developer...is the guy who generally works with xml's, coding, webservices, transformations to make the integration to other systems work...

2)Oracle Fusion as a Applications... It is a set of 7-8 applications or like modules..(Like SAP MM/SD/PM..blah blah).. idhi relatively new in to enterprise applications but will be embraced in to market very fast...

they developed these applications to closely integrate with cloud infrastructure...

so indutlo kooda development and administration untundi...

aa enterprise application lo ayina.. vaati own frameworks and scripting languages with their own Object Definitions untaayi.. you should be exposed to that frameworks....

they are mostly techno functional domains...from a developer perspective.. enduku antey u wont develop anything from scratch.. already built application ni mostly customize and configure chesthaaru according to the customer needs.. so understanding the architecture of the enterprise application according to the Module/Domain is the foremost thing...

bottom line for the question u asked.. yes they do involve programming to certain extent... but not as extent as compared to...the way a regular Java/.NET developer work

Kaadhu boss... SIEBEL CRM and ORACLE FUSION SOA are two completely different products...

SIEBEL CRM is an application and where as ORACLE FUSION SOA is a middle ware product which will enable seam less communication and integration with two systems..

Fusion SOA can be implemented between any two systems where direct integration is not possible...
