Actually in almost all the premier institutes like IITs, BITS PIlani, there is a vast difference in quality of students between BTech grads and MTechs. The difference is obvious because BTech's selection process is more stringent than MTech's GATE entrance.

So given that background, the OP of the thread decided to attack MTech's based on this diff. That the lesser quality MTech's do such kind of things and they should not use generic word IIT-KGP but should mention IIT-KGP-MTech.

P.S: Infy's Nar.Murthy is an exception, he is MTechie from IIT but created No.1 S/W house of India.
