Militants Caught In Andhra Pradesh Had Plans To Kill Narendra Modi

The suspected militants arrested from Chitoor have revealed during interrogation that there were plans to target Narendra Modi along with other senior leaders of the BJP.

A plot had been allegedly hatched for a bomb blast during the Brahmotsava in Tirupati. The possibility of another plan to target Arun Shourie’s book launch in Chennai on October 18 has not been ruled out by the police. Narendra Modi is scheduled to be the chief guest at the event.

The suspects were arrested from a house in Puthur, on the 5[sup]th[/sup] of October, in connection with the 2011 Advani pipe bomb case and recent murders of BJP and Sangh parivar unit leaders.
