[b][u]Job Description[/u][/b][b][u]:[/u][/b]
As a member of the Applications Administration team the [b]Java Middleware Engineer[/b] is expected to be a very strong resource that can work independently and has a track record of being able to handle multiple projects at the same time.

[b][u]Required[/u][/b][b]:[/b][list]
[*][b]Must have at least 3+ years of recent experience with[/b] [b]Java Middleware (JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic)[/b] - Expertise/Priority requirement in order.
[*]Strong experience and familiarity with [b]Apache Webserver - basic configuration and troubleshooting skills[/b]
[*]Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting application issues in [b]J2EE application environments[/b], across multiple platforms.
[*]Strong administration and troubleshooting skills with [b]Linux operating systems[/b].
[*]Experience with [b]Unix/Linux shell scripting[/b]
[*]Experience with [b]java development or other software development experience. Java programming[/b] background is preferred.
[*]Work with multiple teams, as required, to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve emergent production issues. Analyze system problems to determine root cause and preventative measures.
[*]Experience in a public cloud hosting environment would be a plus.

[*]Willingness to provide off-hours support as part of an on-call rotation.
[*]Experience in a production environment supporting mission-critical applications.
[*]Knowledge of standard production practices including change management
[*]Good communication skills
[*]Understanding of general networking concepts and protocols is required.
[*]Experience with various java/application monitoring tools as well as server monitoring tools
