YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was on an indefinite hunger strike to protest against Telanagna, was taken into preventive custody on Wednesday night in Hyderabad. He was taken to the hospital on the fifth day of his fast as there were concerns regarding his health. Jagan has been taken to Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences and efforts will be made to bring his medical parameters under control. Doctors, who examined Jagan earlier on Wednesday, advised him to call off the fast as his sugar level was falling, a senior party leader said. "Our party president Jaganmohan Reddy's fast has entered the fifth day. His sugar level is falling and doctors have strongly advised him to withdraw the fast," YSRCP senior leader Konatala Ramakrishna said.
