Having Telugu pride doesn't mean discriminating other cultures. Abhimanam veru durabhimanam veru. Every successful civilization in this world grew because they preserved their language and culture. Many promoted and in some cases imposed their culture on others. We Telugus never did that.

See I started with Tamil attitude then I told that main reason I had in mind in Tamil Nadu's conspiracy in making AP powerless. Let's both keep the attitude thing aside because topic here is state which might have undergone numerous changes since it's inception.

Being a TG guy (mom from oldcity, hyd and dad from bolarum, secunderabad) myself.. I don't think TG is mature enough to be a separate state. And I also think the basis of dividing a state shouldn't be on the lines of hatred towards a particular region/culture. I wouldn't mind if it was for sheer administrative convenience.. but the inherent cause is unfortunately hatred which temporarily might address the situation but will lead to larger disputes in the future.
Having said that, there's truth in KCR's argument that TG people (I myself many times) faced discrimination from Andhrites and that's why KCR's job became easy. I agree that it was blown out of proportion.
[/quote]

I agree with ur statement that, TG ppl were definitely discriminated during early days of formation...may be until early 80's. But it has seen steep decline in that since then. For their political gains, these politicians have planted these discrimination again in the people's minds. We cannot deny the fact that, there are those discriinations still alive in certain departments, but not as strong that it becomes the main reason for the division.

There are more bigger problems than this discrimination with this bifurcation, I feel especially economic and geographical imbalance between both the regions. Which is quite dangerous, coming to attack..
