Q : - NAS is configured with uid and password on windows box ..

now i have to access a folder from another windows box

so can i do this \\ipaddress\dir\samanthamms.avi

what to do with UID and PASSWORD c?

naaku edho kontha idea undi kaani.. oka proj lo.. Windows lo ?NAS share nii use chesi. web server content motham deliver chestaam..

First aa NAS mount a machine lo undho .. aa machine nee server lo nundi access cheyyagalavo ledho chudu..

my Application is running on windows....

kaani file i receive i have to put it in NAS after processing... (due to security annaru)

so i have to write and read the files from NAS ( my knowledge is NAS also installed on windows )

IT ppl gave me ...NAS IP address as well as 2 IP Address from where i can have access ...and they gave me UID and Password nothing else

now i have to configure in my properties file
which looks like earlier
IN.DIR = c:\\data\\incoming
OUT.DIR = c:\\date\\outgoing

now these folders were moved to N A S
is it sufficient ii
IN.DIR = \\IPADDRESS\\data\\incoming
OUT.DIR=\\IPADDRESS\\data\\outgoing

if so why they gave me uid and password..

if i have to use the logic to use them then my code sucks

windows lo NAS mount cheyaydaniki maatramey username / password maayay..
NAS lo//. storage side vaadu.. oka user account on your machine ki . read-write permissions ivvali.. to read and write the content on the NAS from your windows machine..

but before that.. you need to make sure the NAS is properly mounted on your windows machine as the local storage..

e okka step naaku ggurthu raatledhu.. checking on it right now..
