Read the damn article for why there is a controversy. Built on temple land acquired through dubious means, the founder has a dubious background, suspicion of foreign funding, fear over Islamic radicalization, fear of Muslim Ulema acting against the 'Hinduzation' of local Muslims who follow Hindu customs like paying respects to Lord Balaji.
Some of these concerns have in fact been raised by local Muslims as well as local representatives of 'secular' parties Congress and YSR Congress. Are these people also 'delusional scaremongering far Hindu right members'?! [list]

The only thing from the article that is referring to something shady is the allegation that the land was obtained from the temple through dubious means (there is no proof for that allegation though, the only reference is to some event from the 1500s).
The rest of the article is about how the majority religion in that area will feel victimized because a rival religion is opening up a religious college. This is a free country with freedom of religion. Just because Tirupathi is famous for its temple doesn't mean that people can't build other religious institutions there.
There is a word for such delusional fears and is it usually felt by the majority group in a place: paranoia. Christians in the USA feel it, Muslims in the Arab world feel it and Hindus in India feel it. Thankfully, the constitution in the USA and India don't give much credence to this as opposed to the Arab world. [list]

I guess this is off the major topic presented in the article. I don't think the outcry raised by the article is about the proliferation of such forms of education. Given a choice, I'd choose for all universities/colleges to be strictly free from religion (at least officially). The main concern according to the the article is the location at which the college is being built. [indent]

It is a very relevant point. Given the high concentration of temples and hindu devotees there at any point of time of year, this islamic "arabic" college could very well be a security concern/threat.
I dont think anyone would have noticed had some thing like this built in muslim majority areas like Hyderabad where logic dictates such institutions be located. [indent]

When faced with a minority that is increasingly returning to its medieval arab roots in an effort to "purify" itself, the majority is well within its rights to sit up and take notice.
