[size=5][color=#000000][font=mandali, helvetica, sans-serif]నవలా రచయిత, సాహితీవేత్త జ్ఞానపీఠ్ అవార్డు గ్రహీత డాక్టర్ రావూరి భరద్వాజ(86) కన్నుమూశారు. బంజారాహిల్స్ కేర్ ఆస్పత్రిలో చికిత్స పొందుతూ ఆయన తుదిశ్వాస విడిచారు. శుక్రవారం రాత్రి 8.35 గంటలకు ఆయన కన్నుమూశారని వైద్యులు తెలిపారు.[/font][/color]

[color=#000000][font=mandali, helvetica, sans-serif]కొంతకాలంగా ఆయన అనారోగ్యంతో బాధపడుతున్న ఆయనను చికిత్స నిమిత్తం ఈనెల 14న ఆస్పత్రిలో చేర్చారు. ఇటీవలే ఆయన జ్ఞానపీఠ్ అవార్డు అందుకున్నారు. విశ్వనాథ సత్యనారాయణ, సి. నారాయణరెడ్డి తర్వాత జ్ఞానపీఠ్ పురస్కారాన్ని అందుకున్న తెలుగు రచయితగా ఖ్యాతికెక్కారు. ఆయన రాసిన పాకుడురాళ్లు నవలకు ఈ ప్రతిష్టాత్మక పురస్కారం దక్కింది. సుమారు 170పైగా కథలు, నవలలు రాశారు.[/font][/color]

[color=#000000][font=mandali, helvetica, sans-serif]కృష్ణా జిల్లా మొగలూరులో 1927, జూలై 5న రావూరి భరద్వాజ జన్మించారు. పేదరికం కారణంగా ఆయన ఏడో తరగతి వరకే చదువుకున్నారు. 17 ఏటనే కలం పట్టారు. కాదంబరి, పాకుడురాళ్లు ఆయనకు పేరు తెచ్చిన నవలలు. ఎవరూ స్పృశించని అంశాలపై రచన చేయడం భరద్వాజ ప్రత్యేకత. 1987 వరకు ఆల్ ఇండియా రేడియో పనిచేశారు. ఆయన రాసిన జీవనసమరం పుస్తకానికి రాష్ట్ర సాహిత్య అకాడమీ పురస్కారం దక్కింది.[/font][/color][/size]

Bharadhwaja has been twice awarded the State Sahitya Academy Award for Literature and in 1983 was the winner of the Central Sahitya Academy Award. In 1968, he was the inaugural recipient of the Gopichand Literary Award. He was conferred the Rajalakshmi Award for Literature in 1987 and the Lok Nayak Foundation’s Literary Award in 2009.[3][4][5] In 2013, Ravuri Bharadhwaja became the third Telugu author to be conferred the Jnanpith award for his novel Paakudu Raallu.[6]
