Parikshit Shah: "Wow. Its amazing how much people are speaking up Rohit. Has everyone forgotten that he has been around the international scene now for 7 years and has been a failure for 6 of those?! Give him at least 15 tests people, before labeling him the next big thing.

prabal: "a famous saying in Hindi translates to - The cow is eating grass and you are talking of selling curd. seems to describe us Indian cricket fans very well. international players these days gain and loose form in a matter of days, and these new bunch of guys need to be given time in the middle before any comparisons or speculations are pasted on their foreheads."

Abhinav: "At 27 years of age, and in an era when you are turned out of a team by 33-34, and with nothing on your c.v. but failure, barring a miracle, you just can't be the next big thing anymore. period! People have a short memory, but Kohli and Raina have done quite some service to Indian cricket already. So stop comparing Rohit to Kohli, when you shouldn't even be comparing him to Raina!"

Pathi: "Hey, instead of all the discussion around Rohit, I bet Ashwin to become one of our frontline batsman like Ravi Shastri :)"

srini: "@Harikrishnan, I don`t agree..Kohli is much better batsman than Rohit and he`ll be the most successful batsman for india in all formats. Just 3 weeks in Indian pitch, suddenly Rohit becomes better batsman than Kohli.."

Swaps: "Guys it is too early to talk about kohli and rohit. It would be interesting to see how these guys perform overseas."

Vijay: "I think its too early to predict the future of Rohit Sharma. Yuvraj Singh had played some crucial innings in the past but never really graduated as a test player. Time will tell"

Vishwas Katti: "Among Kohli, Pujara and Rohit, Pujara is the most stable batsman and even he had a tough time on his tour to South Africa ... so too early to say anything about these players."

harish: "My assessment-Kohli will be the most successful ODI batsman for India, and Rahane will also do well in ODIs; in tests Rohit Sharma and Pujara will do better than Kohli and Rahane."

Tushar: "Everyone's memory seems to be short. Before Dhawan, we had one more debut centurion named Suresh Raina and he is nowhere now in any list for test batsman so please dont judge by 1 performance. Have Patience. Let them play atleast 15-20 test matches then we will compare with big 4."

Vamsi: "Feel sorry for Shillingford, he must be feeling like employee who puts days and nights into the project while the manager is chilling out."

Permaul to Sharma, OUT, Rohit's been given lbw after not playing a shot! He stands in his crease for a while before walking off slowly to loud applause from the crowd. He thrust his pad out at one that pitched around off and turned slightly away from the right hander. that might have missed off stump because the impact on the pad seemed to be just outside off. Rohit looked very disappointed
