taking up a project involves..

first understanding of the requirements..

then creating estimating required tools budget etc..

then implementing stage..etc.

 

google functional required documents or Business requirement documents.

also look into project life cycle...concepts

and software development life cycle concepts

 

business case  on a general note..- is i believe...taking the concept to real time implementation

Business Case is very simple. Anything that is concerned as important for business, need to be explained in a proper protocol way.

 

for example, let say one company is using swipe technology to track employees and official permits. But they also using parking cards separately. They might also use separate cards for store discounts and pin to enter into some special areas. You can make a business case how you can integrate all of them in one card. this will include the technology name, how it works, how many resources, time to impliment, hardware required, budget, what are other same sector industries are doing in this same implimentation etc.
