and humans / ancient (homo sapiens) moved to asia around 1,25000 years ago

 

first traces of farming /cultivation can trace as back to 12,000 years ago.

 

There is slight possibility that Ramayna might have happened during intermix of neonderthals and Homo sapiens which we can trce as back as 70,000 years - 35,000 years again it is very rare..

 

 

so again , since the tale states 17.5 million years ago, which is too way back.. we have found only traces of our first ancestors  early evolution to be begun at 2 million years ago.... chronologically it might be wrong.. at the same time it might have occured at some point of time and evidences are too hard to find...

 

 

But mahabharata and lord krishna have enough evidences since he is a ruler and have created an empire that is well preserved in rising sea water.
