98K Found In Desk Returned

A rabbi in New Haven, Connecticut, recently purchased a desk on Craigslist for 150 bucks. But– measure twice, cut once– the desk wouldn't fit through his office door! So he and his wife took it apart.

Lo and behold, Rabbi Noah Muroff and his wife, Esther, discovered $98k in the used desk.

But did they keep the money?—Would have been easier to do that than return it. But of course not! This is a man of god, after all!

They called the original owner, and turns out, she had stuffed her entire inheritance in the desk... And forgot she had put it there! She gave the rabbi and his family a thank-you note. Enclosed was the money he paid for the desk in the first place.
