Another Luxury Bus Catches Fire In Karnataka, 7 Killed

Bangalore At least seven people, including a child, have been killed after a luxury bus caught fire in Haveri in north Karnataka.

The bus was on its way from Bangalore to Mumbai and the diesel tank went up in flames after the bus hit a divider. The accident happened at around 3 am.

There were 49 passengers on board besides three staff members. The driver and cleaner of the bus managed to escape.

The injured have been rushed to district hospital in Haveri, while some of them have been shifted to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hospital in Hubli.

The accident comes two weeks after the bus tragedy in Mehbubnagar in Andhra Pradesh in which 45 people were killed.
