First News Channel In Seemandhra!

With the process of state bifurcation gained momentum, it's time for sprouting of new news channels in Seemandhra region. And here goes the first satellite news channel in Visakhapatnam. Christened as U channel, the 24 X 7 regional news channel will be aired under Visakha Broadcasting Pvt Ltd. An NRI has owned the channel and going to run it through the assistance of his media friend.

One TV journalist Praveen, who earlier worked in ABN, TV9 and Sakshi over for a decade, is the Managing Director for the proposed news channel. Talks regarding the channel have concluded recently and formalities of the launch will be done in a week. The channel's studio is already built in Dwaraka Nagar of Vizag. 

U News is going to be the first satellite news channel to put up in the state out of Hyderabad. Though SVBC (Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel) is first satellite channel out of Hyderabd(located in Tirupati), that is not a news channel. Now, many more news channels are expected to be launched soon in Vizag and other parts of Seemandhra region.
