March 25: Jhansi, 34, a native of Choppadandi in the district, died in a road accident in Pittsburgh, in Pennsylvania, US, on Tuesday night.
Her car was reportedly hit by another car on fly over. The accident occurred while Jhansi, a software professional, was going to work place.
Her husband, Tada Ugandhar, is also a software profession.
They have two children. Jhansi, who belonged to Mustabad village in Choppadandi mandal, married Tada Ugandhar, of Choppadandi. The couple have been living in the US for the last 12 years.
A pall of gloom descended on the families of both parents and in-laws of Jhansi, who settled in Karimnagar town for the last several years. Family members said the body may arrive in India on Saturday.
