Deployment means installing the j2ee application on jvm (basically this application is developed by java developers ) Deployments types in IBM websphere? Ways of deplyment depends on version of WebSphere Application server you are using. But 5.X and Above provide following ways 1. Using Admin Console 2. Hot Deployment droping jsp files, with enabled class reloading (not recommanded for production) 3. Using Jacl n jaython Scripts 4. using WSAdmin command 5. Rapid Deployment (feature available at WAS 6)

Jar means java archive it allows aggregating many files in to one,it is usually used to hold java classes in a library What is war? War(web application archive) it stores xml, java classes and java server pages for webspplication purposes)

HECTOR08 Posted November 20, 2013 Author Report Posted November 20, 2013 There are three types of packages in websphere which are Express,base and ND(network deployment) Express and base are stand alone topologies that means u can deploy 'n number of applications in one jvm but u can't create new jvm The difference for both are License agreement . For express u can install product in one or two systems For base u can install 'n' number of systems
