He might be a great individual...but no politician in India from 1980s are not eligible for the apex award !

Do you atleast know what are the liberalization methods implemented by PVN and what is the state of our country's economy ?? Just curious because if you atleast have least knowledge about what PVN did and what was the situation of our economy at that time, I wont think that you would be ridiculing him. I am not slinging mud on PVN...he had a chance of going for industrial sector development with the loans he brought...he went for service sector development instead and went for agreements like GATT which were suicidal for our farmers... Everybody says that period was an economic emergecy and PVN acted well...but he succumbed neoimperialism and the adverse effects...I am reproachul to his approach being a believer in left ideology ! Otherwise , He is a clean politician , humble and a scholar...I respect him !
