In digital SLR cameras, the camera's format refers to the size of its image sensor. Nikon makes a DX-format sensor and an FX-format sensor. Deal tho compare chethe D3200 > D5100 due to lense for further comparision D5100 ~ T3i due to Swivel LCD and Better Low light Photography. 1 . D3200 has 1 VR lense and D5100 has non VR lense . 2. Conclusion The winner for me hands down was the D3200 as I tend to do field work predominantly. The slow-motion video improvement also appealed, as did the wireless sync and the GPS features - I'm a sucker for technology! However, having said that, if you're an indoor photographer, you may be swayed by the D5100's better ISO range, as you'll most likely prefer the improved ISO range. Hope this was helpful to you all!
