No self respecting society is ever going to make prostitution agreeable. 

 

Prostitution legalise ayye valla, there's no benefit. Netherlands, Germany, experience gurinchi koncham chaduvu. Its an open invitation to scoundrels in the society to trample on women even more than they do now.

 

It can however be decriminalised, like in India. and should be restricted to a few areas.

 

Pimps should be discouraged, and arrested whenever found.

 

India has a good system. And it shouldn't change it. However its irritating when they sensationalize every prostitution raid. They don't have to.

 

This is one thing that India does better than US where prostitution is outright illegal. In India its not.
