Hyderabad The Telangana Rashtriya Samithi or TRS chief KC Rao has rejected the Centre's plan to add two more districts of Andhra Pradesh to the proposed Telangana state, thereby creating a new entity called Rayala-Telangana.

The party, which has been spearheading the Telangana movement for over a decade, has called for a bandh on Thursday over the issue.

"We are not going to accept Rayala-Telangana under any circumstance," Mr Rao said, threatening another round of agitation over the move.

"On December 5, there will be protests across Telangana against Rayala-Telangana," Mr Rao said. "We are the most and the only concerned party in this issue," he said.

The date coincides with the beginning of Parliament's winter session, in which the Telangana tangle is likely to be hotly debated.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said his government is committed to a Telangana state while the BJP has demanded a discussion over the issue in Parliament.

The Centre yesterday decided to redraw the boundaries of the proposed Telangana to include the two districts in a decision reportedly cleared by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

The proposal to include Kurnool and Anantapur districts is believed to have been examined by the Group of Ministers assigned to supervise the creation of India's 29th state.

The Union Cabinet is likely to clear the Rayala-Telangana proposal on Wednesday before sending it to the President.
