London Transit Visa

I booked a round trip flight from USA to India for my H1b Stamping.

I have a halt at London Heathrow Airport for 2 hours for flight change.

 

Do I need to take UK Transit Visa ??

 

I have my F-1B Visa stamp on my passport, which will expire next year.

 

Some one told me that if we have unexpired USA visa, you don't need to take transit visa.

 

In return I will get my H-1 B visa on my passport.

 

Any one traveled in British airways recently?? any issues faced??

 

My flights are American airlines from USA to London and British airways from London to India.

 

Please help with your experiences???

no man...nen inka OPT ae...ninna vesina thread lo cheppina kada neeku...mf frnd monna saturady travel ayyadu ani with F1 visa and he is on OPT not for stamping ani

US nunchi India velletappudu no need of anything..

 

ade India nunchi US via UK vastunte..all you need is a valid stamped US Visa on ur passport.

Valid visa stamp unte avasaram ledu but call chesi kannukovachu embassy ki .. nannu ekkanivvaledu flight transit visa ledani ..

if u dont have valid current visa stamping , u will be not be allowed to board the flight from US airport itself via british airways...

Avunu bhayya all airlines ticketing softwares are up to date. Boarding pass kuda ivvaru. Best thing is to call any britain embassy annd ask them.

call british airways and confirm with them.....

 

not sure whether they wud check the status at airport or not, but they would for sure check valid stamping on ur passport...

 

nidhi koddiga different situation....u got valid f1 visa and ur status is h1....problem o kado telidu...

 

but f1 expired and on h1 status, but no valid stamping aithe pakka british airways vadu pampadu...naa frnd ki airport loney checkin allow cheyaledu..he got another ticket for next day thru etihad and left for india.....
