ONGC is the largest gas producer in KG Basin. Not Reliance. Everything that's found under the ground belongs to the central govt, not state govt, anyway. Also AP govt was stupid enough to not start AP Gas mining company and lobby for a huge share of the gas. CBN let an opportunity go waste. It may be due to lack of mining expertise at the state level at that time. Or bribe. Who knows.

BJP is a decent party with several accomplished people, and also a lot many idiots. I'm all for their Hindutva govt. Modi is only a means to an end, which is bringing majority rule back as should be in a democracy.

I support BJP though. with or without Modi. The least thing I want Modi to do is to scrap RTE, put Communal Violence Bill in dustbin, scrap RTI and introduce mandatory public disclosure by all depts, rewrite federal structure in favour of some powers to the state like taxation and public health. He promises all this. But if he also revises labour laws, take away most of religious minority specific doles by the central govt, make evangelising a criminal offence under the riot act, he can be the greatest pm India has had.
