Pramod Mittal, the younger brother of steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal, reportedly spent Rs. 503 crore, or roughly $82.3 million (60 million euros), on his daughter’s lavish wedding in Barcelona last week, according to a report in dailybhaskar.com.
Mittal’s daughter Srishti, 26, married investment banker Gulraj Behl and, according to a report from a Spanish news portal Vanitatis, the wedding could become one of the most expensive weddings in history.
According to the report, a culinary extravaganza was laid out by Michelin-star chef Sergi Arola against a backdrop resembling a seabed. And a 60-kg, 6-story wedding cake, balloons, festoons and dazzling lightworks rounded out the festivities.
The news portal Vanitatis adds that Arola is well known by Mittal, as it has a restaurant in Mumbai.
