In his first public meeting Varun Gandhi blasted UP CM, Mayawati for the 5 crore worth garland episode. Varun clearly stated that UP is his battleground and he will strive hard to strengthen BJP in UP. Varun like his cousin Rahul emphasized the participation of youth in politics and added that it is important to get as many ordinary youngsters to take part in active politics. The RSS believes that Varun is the only alternate force to stand up to the Rahul charisma and the Gandhi factor. Even BJP chief Nitin Gadkari defended the inclusion of Varun as party secretary. Only time will tell which Gandhi outsmarts the other Gandhi and emerges the winner.
