Stop a nuclear disaster

HI ALL,

Our government is churning out one hazardous bill after another. This time it is a bill called the Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage, and it's coming up for a vote in a couple of days.

The bill lets U.S. corporations off the hook for any nuclear accidents they cause on Indian soil. They'd only have to pay a meagre amount, and Indian taxpayers would be stuck paying crores for the nuclear clean up and to compensate the victims.

Without any public debate, the Prime Minister is appeasing American interests and ignoring our safety.

Greenpeace is launching a petition asking the PM to hold a public consultation before introducing the bill.

You are right, but it's necessary for US companies to start their operations in India. What we gonna do..we already entered in Nuclear deal with US.

Manmohan is nothing but a Political broker and ass Lick** of US

we need development but not at the cost of tragedies like Bhopal Gas Tragedy

the fact is that even after 26 years, all the people who were affected in bhopal gas tragedy didnt receive the compensation

Manmohan singh's true colours will be revealed in this 5 years at any cost, watch out for the more bill controversial bills like these

how can he introduce bill which caps the compensation at 2500 Crores, which is very less in dealing with tragedies like what happened Chernobyl (Russia) and Three Mile Island incident in Pennsylvania
