asalu corruption end cheyyalante, simple process theeskuraavochu. Eg. Ippudu company registration lo corruption ledhu unlike before 1991, endukante process is simple (it's still among the worst in the world).

 

contracts lo antava.. akkada corruption thappadu. It happens even in the most developed countries. same with resource allocation like coal, spectrum etc. Best thing they can do is define a process and stick to it. Companies with money/connection will always try to game the system.

 

But they should be forced to do it within the rules, which should be simple and transparent. The entire 2G/Coal Scam should've been about flouting of rules to favour the few, unfortunately everyone got hung up on numbers like 2lakh crores etc and sidelined the governance issues.

 

Finally atleast the licenses were cancelled. See, there's one improvement. It didn't require a clown like Kejriwal.

Driving license lo (manageable), Public distribution system (doesn't affect middle class), Land/House registration (especially surveyors), Health care (only the poorest use govt hospitals). Corruption at these places ni thagginchadaaniki CM avasaram ledhu..

 

Few honest officers chaalu, with a simpler process of admission. So aam admi, how's he affected by corruption? 2G/Coal/mining corruption has nothing to do with aam admi, except for specific people living in those tribal areas where mining is done. 

 

I don't think our delhi aam admi even cares about those tribals.

 

India ki kaavalsindhi simpler rules. Framing those rules is not an easy task. Requires years of work, tons of data, lot of bureaucratic shuffling etc. Indian citizens are not mature enough to vote for a decent CM/PM, including most of the 'educated' middle class.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's helpline in Delhi for complaints against corrupt officers received over 4,000 calls in its first seven hours.

The deluge led to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asking for staff manning the helpline to be tripled by tomorrow.

Citizens have been asked to dial the helpline number, (011) 27357169 between 8 am and 10 pm, for any corruption complaint. The calls are sifted and only the genuine complaints are transferred to a team of 15 experts, who advise callers on conducting a sting operation. 

The AAP says the evidence from the sting will be transferred to anti-corruption units, and each case will be processed within 24 hours.
 
"Everyone can fight corruption. You don't need a danda (stick). You only need a phone. Every citizen can be an anti-corruption inspector," declared Mr Kejriwal.

The government says the helpline will soon be a four-digit number that will be easier to remember.

The one-year-old AAP came to power in Delhi riding on massive popular support for its anti-corruption campaign and its promise of clean politics. A dedicated helpline against corruption was in the party's manifesto, besides an audit of power distribution companies and 700 litres of free water to every household.

The party now plans to convert growing public anger over corruption into votes in the national elections, due by May.
