Car Insurance Question

my and my wife are on the policy and share one car.  i had a speeding ticket 1 year back.  i was paying 1600 per year and after the ticket im paying 2000 per year.  I live in CA.  Is this too high?  is there any way to get rid of my ticket with attending classes etc?

 

any help on this is highly appreciated.
