I feel cinema cannot convey an emotion/concept better than words can. when it tries, it can be absolutely messy..

 

Cinema entertainment ki ok kaani.. not to provoke any thought. Atleast not thoughts that are ahead of their times.

Art is an extension of man. Some can tap into themselves and create art based on their experiences. Some don't care or don't have that ability.

 

Since each man is different, their art will be unique presentations of the world around them, i.e. if the person perusing the art can understand it.

 

Sometimes the artisit himself doesn't understand what he's created. Like our Ruler4dMasses here says, 'he flows with the flow' and relies on his instincts. Such a man is the true artist. One who is true to himself.

 

The moment he thinks about his audience, it affects his work, and his 'flow' :P

 

thats why cinema itself, and particularly commercial cinema can't be considered as art.

 

The closest cinema can come to is a magic trick.. one that is designed to awe and suck in the audience to give them a enjoyable experience.

 

Art doesn't have any such goals.
