producers of this movie are crap.. They wasted a good opportunity to make money on a decent movie by not controlling the director and spending too much..

 

Even an episode of Sherlock costs only about $700k.. and person of Interest, something with action and intrigue costs around $2million per episode.

 

Its a shame that these people shoot in India and can't keep the costs down. Or are they inflating the costs to keep the Taxman away.. Its a possibility.

 

Bottomline: As a producer, if you admire a particular director's movies.. its better to watch them than to pay him to make it. Your inner fanboy will be crushed by the director and will taken for a ride into fantasy land. :P

per episode $700 .. ananv okay.. does that inclide each and every one remuneration and overll all other costs including marketing post production and pre production cost??

 

offcourse i dont think yevadu is a 60cr+ budget movie.. except london chases scenes n goa scenes peddaga karchu pettaledhanipisthundhi.. may be marketing strategy emo..!!

this is the first one I was able to pull off from google.

 

ofcourse it wasn't dollars, but pounds.. 

 

Also it's very easy to check how much episodes of these series costs with a simple google check.. especially for American shows. Person of Interest which I watch, and which has decent action scenes now and then, is made at $1.5 million to $2 million..

 

Before you make smart ass comments, it'd be better for you to check on the facts.

 

Btw, if you are defending the movie here.. You don't have to, atleast with me, because I loved the film. I'm only surprised at how unprofessional movie makers are in India.
