During that time in India ..the hot topic was Maruthi car...Sanjay Gandhi pet project.. Lot of opposition was there at that time During that time in America Americans are moving a way from family structure ..and started living independently and reluctant to give birth to kids So american Govt. Encouraging citizens with lot perks to have kids During that period PV Visited USA and met his counter part During their discussion (Casual) American Counter part asked PV ...why such a poor country like india is really investing in manufacturing cars rather why don't you buy from USA which will be much cheaper also? PV Replied by saying ..your 100% right may be we are doing wrong BTW why you r forcing / encouraging ur citizens for kids There are lot of orphans in India why don't you adopt? Later he explained the importance of self sufficient to him and won the hearts of lot of Americans
