W9 Question ....... Can An H1 Employee Submit W9 To Another Company

Oka doubt undi naku....
Nenu H1 lo unna ippudu, timepass kosam utest ani oka site undi, vadu konni projects pampi testing chesthe dabbul pay chesthadu ( entho kadu lendi, month ki oka $300 vasthundi). Dantlo more than $500 per year vasthe, W9 vadiki submit cheyali ani undi, and inka dabbul ravatledu ee year ki.

My question is, can we being on H1, submit W9 form to another company, we are not an employee of that company, and veedu paypal account ki pamputhadu direct ga, not bank accounts.........so Submit cheyocha W9 form or any legal restrictions unnaya H1 paina unna vallaki???

no issues, but while submitting the form give u r pan card number and no issue with pay pal account. still if you have any issues let me know.

H-1B visas are employer-specific, meaning you can only work for and derive income from your petitioning employer.

As a general guideline, any work you do for money is considered as depriving earnings of some local person who otherwise would have earned it.

 

You can have passive income from other sources like investments, buying / selling properties. Common examples are stock market trades.

Thanks bhayya.......I agree with you....... kani oka friend vallu ilage chesthunnaru, his explanation was.... as you get income from property or stocks or even referral bonus from another company, this will be treated similarly....but mana income tax returns lo extra income column lo specify cheyali annadu.....Does it work that way?



Lekunte, maa wife CPT lo undi, can she have this income by filling W9 form and get paid by that company, even though that company is not her employer ?????

why don't claim that you are not from US and inform them and yo can submit w8 form instead

I don't think it will work that way but I am not completely sure. I know that active income (income earned by providing your services) should only be from your employer. Passive income(Income earned through properties, stock trades and rentals) is legal.

 

Do you have any friends who are on EAD or GC? I guess you can get that through them without any hassle.

Passive income kosam fill cheste ok eg.investments , interest etc kani work chestunnav kabatti avoid cheyyadam better...

Chusthanu inkoncham, em cheyalo ani..........similar condition lo oka friend unnadu, he is also on H1, kani thanu W9 fill chesi getting paid..........thanu valla collegues kuda chesaru ani cheppadu........edi correct oo teliyatledu
