dkc Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 LOL at your comments... Tennis became more interesting after the arrival of Rafael Nadal. Look at his fan base...nobody matches him. Tennis will miss its best warrior the day he retires... Look at his hater base too.. many hate him with a passion. He's probably the most hated player among tennis watchers too. Ofcourse its not his fault he was born with extraordinary wrist power and overall stamina. Tennis will become interesting only if guys like Wawrinka can beat Nadal now and then. If Nadal keeps winning, how is tennis interesting. Android lo Virtua Tennis game is more interesting than watching tennis these days.. Nadal ochinaaka, Djokovic laanollu chaala mandi ocharu tennis loki.. That's the only way to beat Nadal.. with patience. Risk takers thaggi poyaru.. Courts speed thagginchesaaru.. Even US open plays like French courts nowadays. Tennis lo oka variety lekunda poyindi. Tennis will surely die soon. Its being held together by stars like Nadal, Djok, Fed, etc.. It'll hard to match their accomplishments for future players.. The game itself has suffered by homogenizing courts all over the world. If Dimitrov beats Nadal twice in grand slams, tennis will probably get interesting. But I doubt its going to happen anytime soon.
chittimallu14 Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 you cannot deny that, the sport would have gone one dimensional with fed winning 30 gs if nadal has not entered. def the game would have been boring with fed winning 30gslms...nadal lekapothe inkoka 3-4 gelsetodu last lo...he was already fading out because of his age....i rest it
pisinari Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 ya appatlo sampras vs agassi rivalry arachakam...same with roddick and fedex..... nuvvu naku tennis gurinchi chepthunnav. roddic and fed asalu rivalry ne kadu...it was one way that was federer way... the biggest rivalries tennis has ever witnessed was between born borg vs mc enroe and fed vs rafa
dkc Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 I guess you entered youe adolescence an year ago.....tennis didnt turn intersting after Nadal's entry because it always was.... sampras agassi goran marat safin leyton hewitt roddick federer itla saala mandi unde vallu okapudu..... you missed quirky players in your list.. Peter Korda.. Alberta Berasategui.. Yevgeny Kafelnikov.. They may not have achieved much. But they brought varying styles to tennis. And you missed the master Gustavo Kuerten. The world no.1 at turn of the millenium.. and possibly the most loved tennis player in recent history.
pisinari Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 nadal lekapothe inkoka 3-4 gelsetodu last lo...he was already fading out because of his age....i rest it again its a mistake. if you count the number of finals rafa won against fed it is 8...fed would have won all those 8 if it is not rafa...fed lost in 6 sfs to rafa....if rafa is not there he would have gone to ifinals and would have won atleast 3 of them... velli paduko inka
idiBeZaWaDa Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Nadal is unique with his top spin forehand.. The only player who had such a forehand earlier was Alberto Berasategui who was French Open runner up in 1994, the year I started watching tennis. He suffered injuries through out his career and wasn't able to make any more runs to Grand Slam titles. Djokovic has a solid game, one dimensional and can put people to sleep. Both are crap.. atleast Djokovic has the excuse of not having any special talents. Nadal wastes his talent by playing like a defensive boxer by waiting for his opponent to make the first mistake. Nadal vs Djokovic has to be the worst match in tennis ever. Both take 5 hrs to finish the match, that could've been finished in under 3 hrs, if they hadn't asked for towels at the end of every first fault. lol. Murray is awesome compared to these two. Gasquet is my favourite.. Grigor Dimitrov's game is exceptional among the younger players. Someone should just hand over another 10 Grand Slam titles to Nadal and Djokovic and urge them to retire so tennis can be saved. Narsi mayya..jst beat i say..

Yeah. Nadal changed it. But his game is more one dimensional than anyone else in top 10.
chittimallu14 Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 again its a mistake. if you count the number of finals rafa won against fed it is 8...fed would have won all those 8 if it is not rafa...fed lost in 6 sfs to rafa....if rafa is not there he would have gone to ifinals and would have won atleast 3 of them... velli paduko inkaalready 3-4 ani chepina kada vayy...

Rafa is a top spin hero.. Just watch him play live.. and sit at the back of the courts. You'll see how scary his forehand shot is.

dkc Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 The problem with today's tennis is everyone plays very similar games. The game itself is carried by its top stars. They are paid more than 90% of the prize money, advert money, etc.. only if they retire, or if someone backed with huge money competes with them (like Murray, Gulbis), there's no chance for upcoming players to enter top 4.
