Movie Piracy Should Be Encouraged.

I saw a brilliant indie movie "Upstream Color" today from the same director that made the cult Sci Fi movie Primer.

 

When I finished it, can't help wondering how filmmaking (if its even art) can be helped to achieve its original glory. i.e. without having to pander to mindless masses.

 

A good idea is to pirate every big budget movie (hollywood or any other wood) and make sure the producers/financiers of these movies run into heavy losses, close shop soon.

 

Alternate methods of movie distribution can emerge, or if movie making becomes too budget constrained, rich people can fund it just for funsake. It'll be like going back to the era when kings funded art, and enriched the local culture.

 

Mindless masses can be presented with other forms of entertainment.. like legalising drugs, and public fornication. hehe.. 

 

Wonder when hollywood will die. and other woods will follow suit.

good idea by the way.. TV can replace boxoffice.. movies can be made without caring about masses.. Wow what an idea sirji.
