After all his praise for the PM candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bollywood superstar Salman Khan now set a condition for Narendra Modi for campaigning for the latter's party. During an interview with a TV news channel, Salman Khan claimed that he is ready to campaign for Narendra Modi in upcoming Lok Sabha election if he is asked to and if Narendra Modi does good work for the people of the country. The star also stated that he was shocked to see the hype in media over his meeting with Gujarat CM. Salman asked when his colleagues from Bollywood -- Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan can meet Modi, then why can't he.

"Is it because I am Muslim?" asked Salman while adding that Modi need not apologise for Gujarat riots 2002. He said that the BJP leader should not apologise for the communal violence since the judiciary has already exonerated him. The actor, who played it safe in Ahmedabad when asked about his preference as the future prime minister of India, stuck to his position during the interview. When asked about endorsing Modi, Khan said he is not in favour of letting his view influence his fans' judgment. Salman recently met Modi at a kite-flying ceremony in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Salman also said thathis recent experience of flying kites with the Gujarat chief minister was a fun-filled one.

 

Calling the Gujarat CM "cultured", the actor also said that he was very impressed with Modi and that he had treated his (Salman's) sister and women members of his unit with great respect.
