FTE

Pros

  • job security is higher
  • you are looked as part of the company rather than a temporary staff...this might be helpful in some ways
  • more paid holidays (depending on the company) :D
  • reimbursement for things like certifications, conferences and higher studies
  • better chance for allowance to work remotely once in a while
  • better benefits than contracting
  • no frequent travelling depending on the job

Cons

  • might get stuck in same project for years
  • if you dont like your manager there is not much you can do :P
  • lesser salary hikes (depending on the company)
  • normally lesser salary contracting

Contracting:

Pros

  • opposite of cons from above  CITI_c$y

Cons
