America never had one, because perhaps the political parties were smart enough in their choice of candidates, unlike in India where politicians in the North play the [b]Caste Card[/b], In the case of the electoral vote bank we play the [b]Muslim card[/b] and with the President's post the [b]First Woman President[/b] card to silence the opposition and to get your party across the river

I dint understand what you meant here, I do agree that there are some areas where we really need to improve. But Society is changing, I personally experienced this one.For the matter of fact, the circumstances i have come from, it would have been impossible for me to be here where i am now.(I dont want to get into the details).

politics is different from GK, i hope you agree. Politics is all about planning and making people believe in you, some believe in some person and support the party and some believe in party ideals and support the party.

How can you be sure of what you think is right, until and unless you are part of them. have you done some research or do you have any facts. you support your notion that manmohan is a puppet and congress is a one woman party, but i contradict that. i trust few people in the society who might have access to do the so called reasearch you are talking about and write articles.

I am never a fan of congress, i dont want to defend this. There are many quotes by many noted persons about gandhi who say that he had major contribution in our freedom struggle. But i admire this guy, He was capable enough to unite people in large numbers.This isnt possible by you and me.

That was number by Govt Census (2001), It might have gone down significantly, but the importance of that number is to state that inspite of being a hindi predominant society we are giving way to others grow in our society.

Lots of them can. And do. Greece has a pretty good claim having invented the concept in the first place. However, long spells as an Ottoman colony or under military junta might put it out of the running if you're looking for longest continuously democratic country. America frequently claims to be but this is because they define democracy so narrowly and in their own image such that on their criteria they're the worlds only democracy and on any other criteria they still aren't and never have been.But thten that all depends on your view of Democracy.... Who decides who gets to vote ? And then what do you do with the decisions that the voters make ? The plan is that if the vote is 51% against 49% then we all do what the 51% decide..... it simply aint so ! It does not work like that because the 49% will whinge that something somewhere is not right ! Democracy is an idealistic concept: It simply does not exist !

If there are jewish lobbies in a country and if the father of the nation is a free mason, we cannot make a predominant christian society a non christian society. USA has around 60% christian people and that remains the fact.
