Hyderabad: Actor Balakrishna was not seen in ANR's funeral which was held at Annapurna Studios yesterday. The entire Telugu film industry and many politicians visited Annapurna Studios to pay their last respects to legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, who died of cancer on Wednesday.

ANR and Balakrishna were extremely close to each other earlier and ANR was referred to as 'Babai' by Balakrishna.

Then why didn't Balakrishna come to pay his last respects? Rumors are pointing towards a probable clash that the two actors had prior to ANR's demise. However, other reports suggest that Balakrishna is still miffed with Akkineni family as Nagarjuna did not attend his daughter's wedding. This was the reason behind the 'Legend' actor giving the funeral a miss. Interestingly he didn't attend the funerals of AVS, Uday Kiran and Sri Hari, as well.
