Puri Jagannath…. the name itself makes sound in the history of Tollywood. 

He is one of the directors who made his name a brand. He is making films perennially irrespective of hit or flop. 

So far he completed making 25 films and after a long gap he came up with own production with 'Heart Attack'. 

 

He also says that he is wishing to make more films on 'Puri Jagannath Touring Talkies' banner. 

 

He also shares his idea of making small films encouraging new directors on his banner. 

He shared his views in an exclusive interview to greatandhra.com, on the film 'Heart Attack' that is going to hit screens worldwide in a few hours.

 

Here are a few highlights:

Inspiration behind 'Heart attack':

I heard the song 'Aur Ho' composed by AR Rehman in the film 'Rockstar'. The song inspired me to such an extent that I finished writing story of this film within an hour.

 

Nithin's Get Up:

Nithiin is playing the role of a hippie in this film. I designed his character and style to give a new feel for the audience. He moves with a mobile bed room and mobile kitchen in this film.

 

Resemblance with Idiot:
My heroes speak in a peculiar style in almost every film of mine. If you feel Idiot is striking your mind watching the trailers of ‘Heart Attack, I'm happy. Because it's a hit film (laughs)

 

Varun Tej To Nithiin:
'Heart Attack' is the script I made for Varun Tej. But that was stalled for some reasons. Hence I continued with Nithiin.

 

Trivial Talk:
When asked about his idea on making award winning films, he said, “Audience watch the films those they like. Obviously they are commercial films but not message oriented ones. We as film makers can get better money only through commercial films. We can pay better taxes to government only by making commercial hits. So, not award film, only commercial film is useful to society”.
