Girl Gang-Raped In Gujarat, Rescued By Father

Samastipur: A Samastipur girl lured to Gujarat on false pretext and gang-raped after being kept confined in a house at Gandhidham was rescued by her father when she managed to send word of her ordeal, through a vegetable seller, to him.

The girl, who was residing in Rosera police station area in Samastipur district, had filed a complaint petition before the local court on January 9 against six persons, in which she stated that she had been lured by one, Rahul Kumar Singh, of Raniparti village on false pretext and was taken to Gujarat on December 9, 2013.

She was kept in the house of one, Murari Singh, native of Khanpur PS area and at present residing at Gandhidham. They, along with other friends, repeatedly raped her for about a month. She somehow narrated her ordeal to a vegetable vendor who informed her father. Later, her father came to Gujarat and brought her back to the village on January 7, 2014.

Samastipur SP Chandrika Prasad said he has no knowledge about the incident adding the matter would be investigated after getting details.
