The way the Telangana bill passed today is beyond words. I am not against to the division but They have to first decided what are the perks seemandhra is going to get like a package for development of IT, Industries, Agriculture etc.......... History directs major failure after the new states were formed. There was no such development taken place in Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Chhattishgarh after they came out from U.P., Bihar and M.P. respectively. Jharkhand has been witnessing major scams right after its birth. Chhattishgarh became the victim of Maoist extremism and Uttarakhand has even failed to revive its only earning sector, tourism. Nature itself plays a major role in drawing tourists from different parts of the world at Uttarakhand, it is not the Uttarakhand govt's credit. The hill residents of Uttarakhand has been gasping in poverty. Haryana came out from Punjab in 1966 on language basis, the proper social development has yet not taken place like Punjab. In 2008, there was a popular call to divide Jammu and Kashmir in 2 parts, which was not finally successful. Division of states would only pave the way of disintegration of the country one day like USSR. Had the Telangana bill been for the betterment of a divided Andhra, then why the bill would have to get passed in closed door scenario, halting the broadcasting? Not at all a wise decision by Congress at such a vital time.
