I can't think of any special reason for Bezawada's claim that SA people made lots of money in Hyd, except pure dumb luck in Real Estate or through corruption by diverting govt funds through contracts.

 

Public money should be equitably distributed or atleast have the illusion of being equitably distributed. If SA politicians and businessmen have made 1000's of crores as Bezawada claims, it is good grounds for TG people to be wanting their share of the public money too.

None of the businesses you mentioned can function without political patronage. Just check their debt levels. They are not even like Bombardier, Hughes aircraft, or any of the chemical conglomerates of the old who atleast had products to sell in the consumer, industrial market.

 

May be TG fellows also want GMR like people to rise with their regional political patronage and access to credit. Let those luminaries like GMR, Ramoji, Lanco now compete with TG industrialists in Hyd.

 

If the economy is made of primarily govt money, it's unfair to let only a few people(from the same caste/region) profit from it. 

 

I often go back to giving examples of South Korean Chaebols, like Samsung, Hyundai, which leveraged govt patronage to build infra in their country. Now they are competing with US companies, based on their supply chain in electronics.

 

Without doubt, none of the companies you mention even operate in that scale, or have that kind of ambition. They are simply glorified contractors.

India is a multicultural and piss poor country. ofcourse business will be discouraged everywhere.

 

because the more private economy grows, the greater will be the rich poor gap.

 

Except some enterprising people can use their contacts better to get some favours from the govt.

 

This is where the govt should atleast show the illusion of being fair to all sections/castes.
