loveindia Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 Business Intelligence is a term to in short to automate or create Intelligent enough (that are fast in terms of performance) business solutions to deliver right data. There are many tools in regards to that... MSBI, OBIEE, DATASTAGE, COGNOS, TERADATA, TABLEU, QLIKVIEW, SAP, MICRO STRATEGY etc etc.., MSBI lo 3 categories unnai.. SSIS -- SQL SERVER INTEGRATION SERVICES(If you want to perform any EXTRACT , TRANSFORM and LOAD operations you choose this tool).. Anything related to data movement between Source and Destination we use this. SSAS -- SQL SERVER ANALYSIS SERVICES -- ETL chestam mostly using SSIS to a Datawarehouse. After moving the data, since it is a data warehouse it will have historical data like 10-20 years... SQL Server will consume a lot of time to query such data.. In such scenarios, we opt to Multi-dimensional data which retrieves data faster because the data is flattened.. We use OLAP cubes in this method.. New Method released in SSAS apart from Multi-dimensional is Tabular model which is getting good demand. You have to learn SSAS only by expertise, training is limited because realtime data warehouses are impossible. SSRS -- SQL SERVER REPORTING SERVICES -- In the top 2 mentioned, we ETL'ed the data to a data warehouse using SSIS and created a multi-dimensional data warehouse model using SSAS.. Now its time for the presentation layer. We write MDX (opposite of SQL) scripts / T-SQL scripts to pull data and place them over the report server to show data for the audience.. In short idi MSBI antey... Training kaavali antey cheppu, classes start cheddam :D ... raavali raavali... line lo raavali....
