I agree with what you are saying, the landscape of polities is ever changing, and so are the players. Today's hero can become a villain and vice-versa. There are many such examples in Indian politics.

 

On a side note, the tragedy with politics in Seemandhra, is the prevalent  caste feelings. In this case, this is true for some folks opposing Chiranjeevi because of his caste and people supporting him for the same reason.

 

In states with low literacy rates, one will often find people voting for a candidate because of caste or community. In areas like Seemandhra , it is sad to see educated people do the same. it's not wrong for people to have affiliations towards their caste in cases like arrangement marriages, social gatherings and what not.  But when a candidate is elected and his decisions affect everyday life of the common people, they should select a suitable candidate rather than an undeserving person, just because he belongs to their caste or religion etc.

i dont know what you mean by a "shell" but let me give you a detailed answer.

 

chiru doesnt need to do anything now that he is in congress..all he has to do is just say hi and wave his hand...and that will be sufficient. a party will not run on just one leader or one person..a party runs and depends on its cadre...today politics is big business...everyone wants a piece of action..sooner or later people will come to chiru doorstep for tickets if not in 2014..in 2019 and in 2024....

 

at least some of them will be talented writers...some will talented strategists....they all work for congress...not chiru...just take the example of let us say your company CEO.....he will play golf most of the times and wont have to work hard as much as junior managers etc...this is how the system is.....at top levels in any field people will work less and enjoy more..they will have time for affairs....time to play politics...take long vacations.....etc.....becouse they depend on their managers....
