Hi Everyone,

 

 I want to share my visa stamping experience. 

 

VO: Who is your client?

ME: I told Accenture

VO: What do your client do?

ME: it develops softwares to its clients

VO:What is your project

ME: I explained many things, but i think she VO didn't understand, she asked me if i work as data mining developer, i said          no i am java developer.

VO: Your employer pays you on time?

ME: Yes, We have the predefined pay dates and i get paid on those days. ( i smiled and the VO smiled :)

VO: How long are you working with your employer

ME: 20 months

VO: she checked her system for sometime and told me, i see out of status here, Do u have a break while studying?

ME: I went to india for 2months on Vacation ( i actually took 3months, and i don't know y said 3 months)

VO: you said 2 months? why did you take vacation?

ME: no particular reason, its a casual vacation

VO: it might be the schools mistake, they didn't update the system properly, did you informed your school about your vacation?

ME: yes, i formed them, As per our school rules, we can take break after 9 courses, we have one course per month, So i took break after 9 courses. and they gave me the travel i20 before going to india

VO: Travel I20? what is it (she also asked another lady sitting next to her, she also don't know) 

ME: I am not sure if its called Travel I20, but its the i20 issued by the school approving ur vacation and we need that to return to USA

VO: So you came back and finished your study

ME: yes 

VO: Ok i will update the system, its not ur fault. Your visa is approved. and she gave me a paper which has information on where to pickup passport and suff.

ME: Thank you mam :)

 

In 2012, my previous employer didn't file my H1B, and my opt ends in sep 2012, So i joined another school which gives CPT. I worked on CPT till OCT 1st, 2013. I might be out of status for about 10days in 2012 Sep when i transferred from my old school to new school. So to my knowledge, their system will show the status, but not the reason or dates. Luckly VO asked if i take break, and Luckly i told about my first School. I didn't mentioned anything about my 2nd masters. 

 

I spoke with 7 other people who came for stamping, for all of them same question about client and employer. and regarding schools - 

which university and what is their major. thats it nothing else, they didn't ask any documents to anyone. But its good to take everything you can.

 

Thanks to AFDB members Finding_nemo, Vishwamithra and Nissan for answers my doubts before interview.
